A TRADITIONAL healer whose muthi is suspected to have killed two men is allegedly in hiding.
This comes after residents who were spitting fire burnt down his home at Mahlakwe Village, northern KZN. He allegedly escaped and ran to the cops, who escorted him to safety.
The lifeless bodies of Sipho Mthembu (44) and Bheki Mabika (37) were found lying in bed, covered with a blanket at the suspect’s house on Wednesday.
The two men were last seen by their families on the same day when they went to consult a nearby traditional healer so he could steam them with muthi to get rid of the ‘flu’.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said inquest dockets were opened.
