A 53-Year-Old man farmer of Chisamba and a 17-year-old male pupil have been taken to court for allegedly having sex against the order of nature.

This is in a matter Douglas Watt of Chisamba and the juvenile are facing two counts of unnatural offences and two counts of possession of obscene material.

It is alleged that between May and July 17 this year, Watt had carnal knowledge of the juvenile against the order of nature.

In the second count, allegations are that between the same dates, the pupil had unlawful carnal knowledge of Watt against the order of nature.

In the third and fourth count, it is alleged that on July 17 this year, Watt and the juvenile had obscene pictures and videos on a mobile phone, materials tending to corrupt morals.

The duo appeared before chief resident magistrate Lameck Mwale. The accused pleaded not guilty to the first and second counts.

The State informed the court that it has not yet received consent from the Director of Public Prosecutions to prosecute the second and third counts.

Their lawyers then applied for bail pending trial which was granted in the sum of K10,000 cash for Watt and K5,000 for the juvenile, who is sitting for his Grade 12 examinations.

The duo was also ordered to each bring two working sureties bound to a sum of K10,000. The matter was adjourned to August 6 this year for trial in respect of counts one and two and possible plea for the other two counts.
