The man accused of killing 11 year-old Stacha Arendse has been given three life sentences.
Randy Tango, who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting and murdering Stacha Arendse, was handed three life sentences on Monday (11 December) at the Western Cape High Court.
Stacha’s body was found dumped on a soccer field at Swartklip Centre in Tafelsig.
Tango was arrested hours after the naked body was found.
There were tears of joy and jubilation outside of the court after the sentence was handed down.
Earlier on in the year, the community members of Mitchell’s Plain was reported begging a magistrate to grant the convicted killer bail so that they could finish him off themselves on the street.
