Maumela Mahuwa, who plays Susan on Muvhango, has launched a film academy to help aspiring producers, directors, scriptwriters and actors to gain valuable skills.

The African Academy of Cinematic Arts is officially open for business and has already begun accepting registrations.

“Often times I get asked, Maumela, what are you doing when you are not acting in Muvhango as Susan. Well, here is your answer,” she told fans on Instagram.

The actress has been quietly building the academy behind the scenes for a long time now and she says she is excited to have officially launched in Maboneng, in the Jozi CBD.

“AACA is a South African premium film school that focuses on teaching, training and mentoring the next generation of industry giants,” said Maumela.
