A convicted murderer has offered to help educate the child of the woman she killed. However, the father of the child said he didn’t want her money.
Candice Prevost, faces a hard sentence for the murder of 23-year-old mother, Nthabiseng Selesho. Prevost has said that if the court would be lenient on her, she would contribute towards Selesho’s two-year-old son’s education and be involved in his life as much as possible.
The father, however, has refused her offer.
“As much as I’m struggling financially, I don’t want a cent from her,” Ketso Monaheng said on Monday.
Selesho was a jewellery saleswoman, who Prevost was a client of for two years.
Prevost then lured Selesho to her Boksburg home under the pretext of buying jewellery. She lived there with her fiancé Ashley de Villiers and former fiancé Wayne Williams. The trio stole more than R300 000 worth of jewellery from Selesho and then strangled her.
They later drove to Lenasia with her body in her car, which they set alight.
They also sold some jewellery and bought drugs, and used some of the money to gamble.
